I saw a story on this the other day on Fox. Seems United offered him $1,000 for his guitar (probably worth $3,000 they said) and he told them to give the money to a charity of their choice.
I was in Maine this time last month and had a horrible experience in Philly both ways. I sent an email of complaint and of praise for a flight attendant. I was called the next day, they apologized and gave me a $100 transferable (supposedly) credit for a future flight booked within one year out as far as a year from that. This was US Airways, and we are stuck with them in our city because it’s one of their hubs, but I didn’t expect anything from them except to correct the rude behavior of their employees at Philly.
Need a $100 credit on US Airways? She told me it would be $150 but the certificate says $100 and she also said she made it transferable. Since I’m not planning a trip you are free to take it.
