So, can I get my mortgage renegotiated?
September 30, 2008 – 4:40 pm by kimschI’ve paid my bills on time.
Can I get my principle amount and interest rate reduced?
How about suing the former heads of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac for making it more difficult for a good credit risk like me to get a loan for a bigger house?
I wouldn’t sue for too much, just enough to pay completely for that newer, bigger house with all the upgrades and some new furniture and Viking or Wolf appliances in that neighborhood I like a few miles away and to cover any losses on my current home and mortgage. I’d include the new paint and carpet in the old house, and a natural gas powered generator and a nice heated pool for the new house. Upgrade all the electronics too. All in all it should be less than $750K.
Heck, we could even get that second car included in that amount.

Me too..me too!
We should start a petition and send it to Congress, now wouldn’t that be a hoot?
Great post Kim.

Hey, I don’t even need a new house. I’d be perfectly happy if they’d lower the principle and interest on ours just to be fair. I mean, we’ve had to go without HDTV, new cars, iPhones and all sorts of gadgets just to keep our bills paid. Seems like the smart thing to do would’ve been to blow our money instead and let the gubment help us out.

I need a bigger house, so that’s why I’d sue Jimmy Johnson and Franklin Raines and anyone else who was involved in gaining tons of money in golden parachutes while not gaining for a company, and even losing for it.
I have a feeling that these contracts will be scrutinized and the golden parachutes and any bonuses will have to be based on positives for a company and that negatives will negate the golden parachutes and bonuses.
Sue, I’ll sign that petition! Isn’t it all a nightmare, got my mortgage up for renewal early next year and I haven’t got a clue how I’m going to be able to afford the obscene rate I’ll no doubt be offered!
