Spitzer resigns after stunning fall from power
N.Y. governor was repeat prostitution customer, may have spent $80,000

New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer resigned on Wednesday, completing a stunning fall from power after he was nationally disgraced by links to a high-priced prostitution ring.

“I cannot allow for my private failings to disrupt the people’s work,” he said with his wife at his side at his Manhattan office. “I’m deeply sorry that I did not live up to what was expected of me.”

My question is: If this was going on while he was Attorney General, does it affect any of his prosecutions?

  2. No, for the same reason that people baptized by preachers who turn out to have hired hookers aren’t any less “saved”.

  3. You hear about those in law enforcement who are then charged/guilty of criminal acts that then causes their arrests/prosecutions into question. You hear about criminals getting retrials, etc after the law enforcement officer is convicted…
