Announcing Candidacy

John Edwards has announced that tomorrow he will announce that he will be a candidate for President in 2008.

President Ford died less than 24 hours ago. Couldn’t John Edwards have waited until next week sometime to announce his candidacy?

It feels to me like John Edwards is shouting, “Look at me! Look at me!” My six-year-old does that.

President Ford was a decent, honorable man and I can’t see him making this kind of announcement on the heels of the death of a President.
