A man who was elected to neither the Vice Presidency nor the Presidency, but was there when his country called on him in our hour of need.
He fit the bill and performed admirably under the circumstances. Pardoning Nixon was the right thing to do for the country at that time, if you remember it, and he paid the price of losing to Jimmy Carter because of it.
I have the greatest respect for Gerald Ford and this giant of a man who rescued us from the terrible dark days of the Watergate scandal.
I’m sure the Lord told him, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” when he greated him at Heaven’s gates last night. May he enjoy his rewards in Heaven forever.
