October 15, 2007 – 10:35 amI’m pretty offended that there is a school of thought that I should vote for Hillary because we are both women. I am offended that anyone should vote for or be in favor of something just because one is a member of one group or another (gender, race, ethnicity, education, ability, talent, etc.). Personally, I am a member of many and varied “groups”, as are most people I would think. What happens when the interests of any two of your “groups” are in conflict? Does one spin around and around with one’s eyes bugging out until one just explodes?
What does Globaloney ™ (Dafydd ab Hugh at Big Lizards) have to do with peace?
Any other thoughts?
When someone says vote for me because I am this or that just like you, it is a pretty sure sign that they are light on actual winning policies and are simply clammering for the sympathy vote. I would normally not vote for that person out of Principal, even if I was seriously concidering doing so previously
