Countdown To Christmas - Hymn of the Day
December 22, 2007 – 8:00 am by kimschAdeste Fideles (O Come All Ye Faithful)
O Come All Ye Faithful
Joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem.
Come and behold Him,
Born the King of Angels;
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.
O Sing, choirs of angels,
Sing in exultation,
Sing all that hear in heaven God’s holy word.
Give to our Father glory in the Highest;
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.
All Hail! Lord, we greet Thee,
Born this happy morning,
O Jesus! for evermore be Thy name adored.
Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing;
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.
Adeste fideles,
laeti triumphantes,
Venite, venite in Bethlehem!
Natum videte,
Regem angelorum
Venite adoremus,
Venite adoremus,
Venite adoremus
Dominum.
Previous: I Saw Three Ships, The Holly and The Ivy

This one’s my favorite, except when people mangle the Latin at the end.
My favorite is O Holy Night. Look for it on Christmas Eve. Tomorrow is Angels We Have Heard On High (with the Gloria) and Christmas Day’s hymn is What Child Is This? I may repost Mary Did You Know? too.
