Easy “Silver Dollar” Pancakes

May 30, 2007 – 10:35 am

I figured out an easy way to make “silver dollar” pancakes.

100_1096.JPGUsing any pancake mix (I used Bisquick shake and pour) put the batter into a plastic ketchup type squeeze bottle ($1 at WalMart or dollar stores). You have a lot of control over where the batter goes and no messy drips from a ladle.

Squirt out the batter onto your hot griddle or frying pan

  2. Here’s a great recipe to use in your shaker. It’s my brother-in-law’s secret recipe. :)

    1.25 cups all-purpose flour
1.25 cups buttermilk (if batter is too thick, add a little more after mixed together)
    1/4 cup sugar
    1t. vanilla
    1t. baking soda
    1t baking powder
    1 egg
    1/4 cup oil
    Optional: 1T of brown sugar

  3. Ann, that sounds great. You just knew I was keeping the Shake and Pour bottle didn’t you?
